For sale a 2001 Cadillac Catera Sport that has been converted back into an Opel Omega.

All Cadillac Cateras were produced in Russelsheim (near Frankfurt/Main), Germany by a GM's European subsidiary, Opel A.G. (GM owns Opel). As you can see, this Catera no longer looks like one, but instead it looks like it's European counterpart- an Opel Omega. When I bought this car in 2004 (I am the second owner, the first one was a leasee), I decided that I was going to convert my car into an Opel Omega. While I was in Europe, I bought all required accessories at Opel dealership and I had them installed on my Catera back in the States.

Here's the list of all modifications:

1. All Cadillac emblems,grille, wheel center caps were removed.
2. The "Catera" lettering on the trunk lid was removed, patched over and painted by an auto body shop.
3. An Opel grille replaced the Cadillac's.
4. All wheel center caps were replaced with the matching Opel ones.
5. I purchased a used Opel Omega airbag and had it shipped from Europe. Once I received it I cut out the Opel logo from it and a glued it onto the steering wheel.
6. I had the trunk lid Opel Omega 3.0 V6 emblems attached to it.
7. I attached an Opel logo onto the engine cover.
8. The car keys are Opel's too.

Here's the list of the car's condition, disclosures and options:

• The car has 86,573 miles on the odometer.
• The car has never been involved in any car accident.
• Smoke free.
• Garaged.
• Hand-washed only.
• The overall condition is very very good.
• The car is equipped with Xenon headlights (standard option on Sport model).
• Power memory front seats.
• Leather interior.
• Auto dimming rear view mirror.
• Bose CD,cassette radio.
• OnStar system.
• Power sunroof.
• The car has 4 new tires (235-45-R17). I purchased them in January 2008.
• New battery installed in 2007.
• Newer front brakes and rotors installed in August 2007.
• New rear brakes and rotors installed in February 2008.
• New spark plugs.

Here's the list of issues with this car:

• The passenger side mirror cover is cracked. I put a gray label on top of it. The cost of replacing the cover, per Cadillac dealer, is $118.00.
• The car needs a wheel aligement.
• The rear bumper is scratched near the license plate (please see the photos). I painted it using a touch-up paint.
• The hazard switch, also known as, the turn signal switch is malfuctioning sometimes. The switch and the turn signal works but it sometimes makes a noise, so replacing it would fix the problem. I haven't replaced it because it doesn't bother me.

My answer is" I wanna buy a Saturn Astra which is another Opel from Europe (Opel Astra).
